2025 Honoree
Rick Small

The Haven is proud to announce Rick Small as its honoree for the 2025 Chrysalis Luncheon. As the former President and CEO of the Stonewall Foundation, Rick has been a pivotal supporter of Tucson nonprofits, contributing significantly to their growth and sustainability.

The Stonewall Foundation was launched in 1972 by Bill and Susan Small and during the past 50 years it has donated over $45 million to local arts, health, and educational non-profits. Under Rick’s leadership, the foundation extended its support to organizations that play crucial roles in our community. In 2021, the foundation transitioned to a donor-advised fund, now called Stonewall Foundation Fund held at the Community Foundation of Southern Arizona (CFSA).

The Haven has been a fortunate recipient of the Stonewall Foundation’s generous funding, enabling the completion of essential infrastructure projects which have significantly enhanced the health, safety, and well-being of our members. Some of these improvements include building shade structures and a greenhouse and installing security gates and cameras. Having safe and comfortable spaces is a source of joy, calm, and serenity that promotes recovery, dignity and wellbeing.

The Stonewall Foundation played a pivotal role in establishing The Haven’s Reyn’s Fund. This fund honors the legacy of Josephine Reynolds “Reyn” Voevodsky, a dedicated advocate for women’s rights and equality. Following Reyn’s passing in 2020, The Haven created a fund in her honor. Reyn’s Fund provides grants for education, housing, transportation, and childcare expenses for members who are graduating from The Haven.
