For 56 years, The Haven has helped women heal from substance use disorders. During the past five decades, we estimate that The Haven has helped at least 10,000 women heal, creating ripple effects felt by their children, families, and our whole community.
Today, that work is at risk.
Like many nonprofits, The Haven is facing a significant financial shortfall this year. Longstanding underinvestment in the behavioral health field combined with recent regulatory changes has made it increasingly difficult to sustain our programs. As an organization largely funded through Arizona’s Medicaid system, these challenges are immediate and serious.
The Haven is the only substance use treatment provider in Southern Arizona designed specifically for women. We offer high-quality treatment, safe housing, and non-judgmental support. By allowing women to bring their young children into treatment, we help the whole family heal together breaking cycles of trauma.
