The Tribal Opioid & Substance Use Conference focuses on indigenous approaches to building capacity and resilience to address substance use disorder. The two-day event will be held on November 17-18 at the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort in Fort McDowell, AZ.
The Conference will provide a space for community health professionals to network, discuss their concerns, successes and challenges, and provide best practices related to substance misuse and abuse prevention, treatment and recovery.
The Tribal Opioid Conference will:
- Provide tribal models of substance misuse and abuse prevention
- Identify strategies to build capacity for data collection and integration
- Provide Federal and local efforts in Medically Assisted Treatment Programs
- Enhance knowledge in prevention and recovery in response to substance misuse
