Our Facilities Manager Tom Deeby has been awarded a Ben’s Bell for his kindness. One of our contractors, Joe Physician, nominated Tom for this award. In his nomination letter Joe said that Tom is the kindest person he knows, and we could not agree more.

We often associate the holidays with joyous celebrations, but for many this can be an extremely difficult time of the year. The holiday season often magnifies and intensifies our difficulties, and it can bring out stress, depression, family troubles, and loneliness.

When we think about recovery, we often think about all the hardships that people are going through. It’s true that recovery is one of the hardest things that people go through and it can cause a lot of stress and emotional turmoil. However, people can, and should, also have fun while in recovery.

October marks the Domestic Violence Awareness month. In the US, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 10 men experience sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime with impacts such as injury, being concerned for their safety, or post-traumatic stress disorder.
