The Haven has been recognized as best-in-class in workforce development and staff competency among Arizona healthcare providers. The Haven was recently featured on a Legacy Agency Spotlight for consistently exceeding standards and ensuring competency and job satisfaction. We are grateful for the recognition as it reflects our commitment to workforce development.
The AZ Workforce Development Alliance – ACC, ACC-RBHA works with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), health care providers, members, and communities to drive long-lasting and effective changes in workforce development and outcomes. The organization envisions Arizona’s contracted healthcare workforce to be as interpersonally, culturally, clinically, and technically competent as possible. The state is shifting from a training and compliance-based policy to a comprehensive, competency-based policy that addresses all aspects of workforce development.
To align with this vision, all contracted behavioral health providers must submit an annual Provider Workforce Development Plan to the organization. The plan must describe the goals, objectives, tasks, and timelines that will move a provider from compliance to competency and develop the agency’s workforce.
The Haven scored in the “Exemplary” category for its 2023 plan and is considered best-in-class in Workforce Development and staff competency by consistently exceeding standards and ensuring competency and job satisfaction.
