These are just a few of the many stories women have shared about their life-changing experiences in our Intensive Outpatient Program.
“I didn’t feel ready to enter the world when I graduated from residential. I was scared and insecure in my recovery. In the Haven Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) I am able to take baby steps into the world while continuing to focus on my recovery. I have a support network here that has helped me stay clean and sober for over 6 months. I am certain that I could not have done this on my own.” – Charlene
“Being in the IOP has given me a new found freedom in recovery. It has slowly progressed into independence but I also live by rules and consequences too. I am allowing myself to make positive decisions in my life that I have never ever been able to do, having come out of a 21-year abusive and controlling relationship. So now that treatment has taught me to love myself and be selfish, I am truly enjoying a sober life.“ – Danette
“Without The Haven IOP, I would have been homeless for a significant amount of time around drug addicts and very well could have relapsed. Being kept in a safe environment has allowed me to put everything together and still be safe and strong. Thank you IOP for giving me a life I can be proud of! The coping skills I learned allow me to deal with everyday problems that used to bring me down. I feel like there is nothing I can’t do.“ – Jainie
“After two months in residential, I was relieved to move on to IOP as I wasn’t ready emotionally and certainly not logistically to be out on my own. Attending morning classes feels like I have a job to do, a place to be, a purpose. I take comfort in seeing fellow clients almost everyday and I know I can tell them anything. The Haven has become my home and given me a gift I can never repay. Thank you. I would never have been able to get sober and move forward without the tremendous support I received here.” – Rebecca
“Being in the IOP has taught me accountability, responsibility, coping skills and many other things. But mainly it has taught me a new better way of living clean. It’s helped me to find myself and be a better person and gave me a chance to be a mother. It’s given me so many helpful tools. It helped me transition into the world and make a support team. It taught me to put my ego aside and reach out. It also showed me how good things do happen to those who deserve and fight for it.” – Kim
“To be honest, I don’t think I’d be in my recovery if I hadn’t come to The Haven IOP. I have 6 months clean and I have The Haven and IOP to thank for that. The everyday lessons they provide are needed for me to stay in my recovery, practice new coping skills and continue to learn and grow. I’m so grateful to be here.” – LuAnn
